In an attempt to fulfill the gaping whole that was my entertainment life sans "Parks and Recreation" (until the next season airs) I decided to take a stab at "30 Rock." For the longest time I was hesitant to start watching it, yes, I had heard scores of wonderful things, but I had seen an episode or two here and there and it never really stuck. One night (about a week ago I'd say), my boyfriend's apartment-mate had "30 Rock" on and I decided to take another shot at falling in love with the show and I most definitely did. I'm not sure what did it for me this time, but something clicked.

This seems to be my track record when it comes to television shows because I constantly find that I'm hesitant to start watching new shows until one day it's the only thing on TV and I'm forced to watch, stare, and get infatuated by a new sit com. Case(s) in point: "How I Met Your Mother" and even "Parks and Rec."
I am now 20+ episodes into season 1 of "30 Rock" and I couldn't be happier with my television watching choices. The characters are just so perfectly written, you know? It's witty comedy with wonderfully full yet archetypal characters. I just got up to speed with "Orange Is the New Black" a few weeks ago (jury's still out on that one but it is addicting) so "30 Rock" came at the perfect time to facilitate my Netflix binge watching and thus procrastination of all work. Blessing or curse? Blessing, for sure.
