Cacti and succulents are perhaps the easiest plants to own. I've always wanted to assemble my own little glass cactus planter but never got around to finding the perfect glass bowl to fit my cactus planting needs.
So, inspired by cute ways to present cacti and succulents and all their glory, I turn to tea cups, for a little bit of Covent Garden and a dash the Sahara and all in time for afternoon tea.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1. Tea Cup and Saucer (optional) --I used mini tea cups but regular-sized tea cups work just fine!
2. Potting Soil
3. Assortment of Cactus and Succulent Plants --You can find these at the Home Depot

How to Assemble Your Tea Cup Cactus Planter:
Assembling your Tea Cup Cactus Planter is super easy, all you need to do is:
1. Get your tea cup
2. Fill about a quarter of the tea cup with some potting soil
3. Gather your cactus and succulent plants and start arranging them in the dirt as you please
4. Fill the rest of the tea cup with the remaining potting soil
And, presto, you've got yourself a super-cute new potted plant that honestly, requires quite minimal care!
Instructions for Care:
I spoke with a Flea Market vendor who was selling small cactus planters a few weeks ago and asked her how I should go about caring for my cacti and succulents. She told me to simply get a spray bottle and fill it with fresh water and spritz the cacti and succulents every 2 weeks or so.
I personally also add some water to the soil to keep the soil moist (I do this every 2-3 weeks) and my cacti and succulents seem to be doing quite well.
